NeuralCache is built so your notes stay yours. This page explains what the app and this website do with data, in plain words.
The NeuralCache app
- Your notes stay on your computer. Notes are Markdown files in a folder you choose. The search index NeuralCache builds from them is stored on your computer too. We never receive your notes.
- AI runs locally. Organizing, search by meaning, answers and summaries use models that run on your computer. Voice notes and spoken answers are transcribed on your computer.
- No analytics or tracking. The app doesn't collect usage data, crash reports or identifiers.
- Network use. The app talks to a local AI service on your own computer. It downloads AI models once when you turn a feature on (for example the search and speech models, from their public hosts); those hosts see an ordinary download request. Opening a link in a note opens your browser.
- No account. You don't need one to use NeuralCache.
This website
- Waitlist. If you join, we store your email address and the date you joined, and use it only to send your invite and, rarely, important news about NeuralCache. We don't sell or share it. Ask us anytime to remove it.
- No cookies, no trackers. This site sets no cookies and loads no third-party scripts, fonts or analytics.
- Hosting. The site runs on Vercel, and the waitlist is stored with Upstash (Redis). Like any web host, Vercel keeps short-lived server logs (such as IP addresses) to run and protect the service.
